Build a useful cargo brief
Build the cargo list around exact model, hardware version, accessories and quantity. Provide the supplier’s label photos and technical information where available. State the intended destination configuration rather than assuming a product sold in China matches the receiving business’s requirements.
Plan the handling requirements
Declare installed batteries, separate batteries and wireless components as part of the actual product description. Ask the relevant transport and import parties what information is needed for the proposed shipment. Do not rely on a generic electronics label to establish acceptance or suitability.
Agree checks and delivery scope
Specify anti-static, moisture and shock protection needs with the supplier. Agree whether serial-number capture or label photographs are required before consolidation. Appearance checks do not prove authenticity, software licensing or electrical performance; any such verification needs a separately agreed method.

Product eligibility, documentation, handling arrangements and transport options are reviewed for the individual shipment. If information is missing, identify it as pending and ask the supplier for it before confirming the final plan.

Describe the complete product configuration
List the model and what is included: device, power supply, cables, batteries and accessories. Similar product names can refer to different configurations. Ask the supplier to identify any installed or spare battery and provide the available product documentation for review. Record the requested plug or power-supply version as an order-matching item, with technical suitability confirmed separately.
Example: network devices with mixed adapters
Illustrative planning example, not a customer case: an order includes network devices and two adapter versions. Create separate lines for the device and each adapter, with the expected quantities. If label photographs or serial-number recording are needed, specify that before inspection. State how many units should be checked and whether cartons may be opened. A label check is different from a powered function test.
Agree what happens to opened packaging
Tell the team if seals, retail boxes or accessory grouping must be preserved. If testing is requested, provide an agreed procedure, required equipment and a decision-maker for unexpected results. Confirm whether and how opened packages should be resealed before dispatch; do not assume a receiving check includes technical certification.
