Give a logistics provider enough information to assess the actual work. A request saying only “China to Kuwait, best price” leaves the goods, collection task and final handover undefined. A structured enquiry produces a more useful comparison.
This is an editorial preparation guide. It does not specify Kuwait’s mandatory import documents or establish a current route, rate or transit time.
Describe every product group
List the product name, intended use, material or model where relevant and quantity. Add a supplier link or photograph when it helps identify the item. Flag batteries, liquids, powders and special handling needs so acceptance can be reviewed early.
If the order is still being negotiated, distinguish confirmed goods from possible additions. Tell the provider which items must be priced together and which can be assessed separately.
Request packaging information from the supplier
Obtain the number of packages, external dimensions and gross weight by package type. Label estimates clearly if final packing has not taken place. State whether cartons can be repacked and whether any original retail packaging must remain intact.
For multiple suppliers, use one line per order and include its ready date. This allows the provider to discuss receiving, consolidation and waiting-time assumptions.
Define both ends of the service
Give the collection address and explain whether the supplier will load the goods or requires another arrangement. At destination, include the final city, address type, recipient contact and known access restrictions.
Ask the quotation to identify exactly where responsibility starts and ends. Specify whether you are requesting international transport only or also collection, preparation and final delivery.
Make comparison and follow-up easier
Ask for included charges, separate charges, currency, validity and the assumptions used. Record your desired arrival date as a requirement to assess, not as a confirmed schedule. Identify the intended importer and ask who will review the documents for the actual goods.
Send the same brief to each provider. When quantities, packing or locations change, issue the same revision to all of them before comparing the results.
Prepare your shipment enquiry with the goods, origin, packed measurements and final address.
Sources and scope
This is an editorial enquiry template based on the information needed to define a transport assignment. It does not state country-specific regulatory requirements, current rates or route availability.
Preparation steps are editorial guidance, not a finding about the reliability of a named provider.
