Do not subtract an approved quantity until physical dispatch is recorded.
Held stock remains part of the physical balance. Do not add it twice.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE — NOT A CUSTOMER RECORD
Opening: 10 blue units and 10 black units, on separate SKU lines.
Authorised release: 6 blue units. Actual dispatch: 5 blue units.
With no other movements, remaining physical stock is 5 blue and 10 black.
Record the 1-unit release difference and obtain instructions. Do not
substitute a black unit or assume the sixth blue unit has left.
